| Escape the Library |

Staff will provide a recap presentation on the Library program Escape the Library.
The Main Library had its first Teen Escape Room program after the library closed down on Friday January 24th. This was a joint venture with the recreation department and it was a tremendous success.
Over 40 teens arrived (in the pouring rain) to crack open nuts to find hidden messages and find a code written in invisible ink (but first they had to find the black light). They also assembled a puzzle blindfolded, located hidden keys, found the secret combination to a safe, and learned how to use the Dewey Decimal System.
Many of the teens that came to this program had never been to our wonderful libraries and this was a great opportunity to expose them to our programming and collection. Next time, it will be harder and we look forward to even more participants getting involved in our amazing teen programs. |
