| | | | | | | | Purpose:
This is a request for City Council to adopt an Ordinance amending Chapter 1 of the Peoria City Code pertaining to General Provisions. |
| | | | | | | | Background/Summary:
As discussed at the January 24, 2017 Council Study Session, city staff began a comprehensive review of the City Code in July 2016. A comprehensive review of the City Code has not been completed for many years. As a result of the review, staff is recommending Chapter 1 of the Peoria City Code be amended.
Highlights of the amended changes to Chapter 1 include:
- Administrative formatting and wording for consistency in the City Code.
- Removal of the requirement for a Code Codification Committee.
