| | | | | | | | SUBJECT:
| Amend Council Policy 2-2: City Council District Funds |
|
| | | | | | | | Purpose:
For the Council to consider adoption of an amended Council Policy 2-2 (CP 2-2), City Council District Funds. |
| | | | | | | | Background/Summary:
The City develops Council Policies to provide consistent guidelines and standards for addressing specific activities. City staff recently reviewed this policy in detail and are recommending amendments to the policy.
Highlights of the Council Policy 2-2 amendments are as follows:
1) Minor clarification that District Funds may be used for travel expenditures for Council Assistants.
2) The policy currently states that procurement guidelines, as well as additional requirements outlined in the policy must be followed to award district funds. Staff recommends that the policy’s additional requirements include that an individual or organization awarded council district funds must submit a report attesting to the use of the district funds. This requirement will provide the city with documentation that the funds were used as approved for in the award. |
