This is a request for City Council to adopt an Ordinance renumbering current Chapter 16 (Municipal Special Events) to Chapter 8 and amending various sections. |
| | | | | | | | Background/Summary:
As discussed at the January 24, 2017 Council Study Session, City staff began a comprehensive review of the City Code in July 2016. A comprehensive review of the City Code has not been completed for many years. As a result of the review, staff is recommending that the arrangement of the code chapters be changed to reflect a systemic order. Staff is recommending that the current City Code Chapter 16 (Municipal Special Events) become Chapter 8 (Municipal Special Events). Chapter 16 was replaced by a new chapter focused on animals at the February 21, 2017 council meeting.
Highlights of the amended changes to the new Chapter 8 (Special Municipal Events) include:
- Administrative formatting and wording for consistency in the City Code.
