Raymond S. Kellis High School Varsity Baseball Team Proclamation 
Purpose:

To recognize the 2017 Raymond S. Kellis High School Baseball Team for their outstanding effort and dedication put forth to become the 5A State Baseball Champions.
Background/Summary:

High school sports teaches players about the value of commitment, hard work and sportsmanship; lessons that will benefit them throughout their entire lives.  Coach Michael Deardoff has been an exemplary leader for the Kellis High School baseball team for the past nine years. 

 

After an exciting baseball season, the Cougars brought the 5A State Championship home  to the West Valley for the first time since the school opened in 2004.

 

Given these accomplishments, the city is proud to proclaim June 27, 2017 as:

 

"Peoria’s Kellis Cougars State Baseball Championship Day”
