To highlight recent media coverage the city received for their particiapation in the Commit to Health Initiative. The video shows Cory McCloskey with FOX 10 Arizona Morning and Tess Rafols with Ch. 3’s Good Morning Arizona testing their obstacle course skills at Peoria Pool. Both reporters highlighted the new program recently launched by the city in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association and University of Phoenix. |
| | | | | | | | Background/Summary:
The Commit to Health Initiative features two new programs. Youth ages 3-17 can participate in Peoria’s new Tadpole Strolling and Water Warrior Challenge. Tadpole Strollers will maneuver and race through various obstacles in the play pool, while learning the benefits of staying active. Water Warriors will challenge a new inflatable obstacle course and various other stations. Like the Tadpole Strollers, Water Warriors will also learn benefits of an active lifestyle. The public is encouraged to take advantage of this program during open swim sessions all summer long. |
