Discussion and possible action to recommend approval to the State Liquor Board for: (a) a New Restaurant (Series 12) Liquor License for Stevies Pizza Restaurant located at 28465 North Vistancia Boulevard Suite 101, Shpendi Nuredini, Applicant, LL#20019054; (b) a New Restaurant (Series 12) Liquor License for Marco’s Pizza, located at 24786 North 67th Avenue Suite 102, Sukhwinder S. Purewal, Applicant, LL#20019055. |

Stevies Pizza Restaurant, is an existing restaurant located at 28465 N. Vistancia Boulevard Suite 101. The new owners have applied for a New Restaurant (Series 12) Liquor License. The application agent is Shpendi Nuredini.
A Series 12 Restaurant license is a non-transferable license that allows for the restaurant to sell and serve all types of spirituous liquor solely for consumption on the premises. A Restaurant license requires that at least forty percent (40%) of the restaurant’s gross revenue comes from the sale of food. Failure to meet the 40% food requirement may result in revocation of the license.
Some of the businesses around Stevies Pizza Restaurant are Safeway, Walgreens and Chase Bank. There are no staff concerns with Stevies Pizza Restaurant. The public hearing notice was posted for at least 20 days, and no comments were received during the posting period. The license application was reviewed according to State law and all Departments gave approvals.
Marco’s Pizza, is a new restaurant located at 24786 N. 67th Avenue Suite 102. This location is currently unoccupied. The owners have applied for a New Restaurant (Series 12) Liquor License. The application agent is Sukhwinder S. Purewal.

Pursuant to Arizona Law the City must make a recommendation to the State Liquor Board regarding the approval of applications to sell alcoholic beverages in the City. The Standard for the City’s recommendation is whether the best interest of the community will be served by the issuance of these licenses and whether the public convenience is served. |
