Aldi is a new grocery store, located at 24665 N. Lake Pleasant Parkway. The owner has applied for a New Wine and Beer (Series 10) Liquor License. The application agent is Chelsea R. Baker.
Series 10—permits the retail sale of beer and wine for consumption off premises.
Some of the businesses around Aldi are BevMo, McDonalds and CVS Drug Store. There are no staff concerns with Aldi. The public hearing notice was posted for at least 20 days, and no comments were received during the posting period. The license application was reviewed according to State law and all Departments gave approvals. |

Pursuant to Arizona Law the City must make a recommendation to the State Liquor Board regarding the approval of applications to sell alcoholic beverages in the City. The Standard for the City’s recommendation is whether the best interest of the community will be served by the issuance of these licenses and whether the public convenience is served. Staff recommends Council approve the recommendation to the State Liquor Board. |
