SUBJECT:
Intergovernmental Agreement, Peoria Unified School District, Facility Use and Development Processing 

Purpose:

Discussion and possible action to authorize the City Manager to execute an Intergovernmental Agreement for facility use and development processing with the Peoria Unified School District to continue the mutual services outlined in the Intergovernmental Agreement for one additional year.

Summary:

The City has enjoyed a longstanding and beneficial relationship with the Peoria Unified School District (PUSD), including the availability of joint use of facilities and for development processing of PUSD proposed improvements. The City and PUSD entered into this Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) on September 1, 2015 and it is presently set to expire on September 1, 2021.The parties desire to extend the term in order to have the IGA effective through September 1, 2022. All other terms and conditions of the IGA are to remain in full force and effect.

 

On May 27, 2021, the PUSD Governing Board voted to approve this IGA (current City Contract No. LCON03615)

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends that the City Council approve and direct the City Manager to sign the IGA for facility use and development processing between the City of Peoria and the Peoria Unified School District.

Fiscal Analysis:

There is no fiscal impact to either the City of Peoria or to Peoria Unified School District.
