Board and Commission Appointments 
Purpose:

Discussion and possible action to approve the recommendations from the Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee and adopt RES. 2023-75 to appoint/reappoint members to various Boards and Commissions.

Summary:

The Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee makes recommendations for board and commission membership based on term expirations, vacancies from resignations, or changes to member eligibility status.

Previous Actions/Background:

On May 9, 2023, the Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee made the following appointment/reappointment recommendations:

 

Arts Commission

Tricia Heller-Johnson

Julie Jaegge

 

Board of Adjustment

John Turner

 

Citizens Commission on Salaries for Elected City Officials

Julie Jaegge

 

Construction Board of Appeals

Harold Gribow

Philip Jaegge

Scott Grainger

Staff Recommendation:

This is a request for City Council to appoint/reappoint various Board and Commission members as follows:

 

  • Reappoint Tricia Heller-Johnson as a regular member and appoint Julie Jaegge as a regular member of the Arts Commission for terms to expire June 30, 2025, and
  • Reappoint John Turner as a regular member to the Board of Adjustment with a term to expire June 30, 2025,
  • Appoint Julie Jaegge as a regular member to the Citizens Commission on Salaries for Elected City Officials with a term to expire June 20, 2025, and

  • Reappoint Harold Gribow, Philip Jaegge and Scott Grainger to the Construction Board of Appeals with terms to expire December 31, 2025, June 30, 2025 and June 30, 2025, respectively.

Fiscal Analysis:

There is no fiscal impact.
