Discussion and possible action to: (a) approve an Intergovernmental Agreement Arizona Department of Public Safety to establish a Real-Time Crime Center in the City of Peoria; and (b) approve a budget amendment in the amount of $2,600,000 from Contingency to the Miscellaneous Police Grants Fund. |

The Peoria Police Department is receiving state funding to establish a Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC) in the City of Peoria. The Department of Public Safety is requesting a signed Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the City of Peoria for this funding.
The purpose of the IGA is to ensure the City utilizes the funds for technology, to effectively and safely, provide real-time information to law enforcement agencies, fire departments and districts. The improved operational intelligence and real-time situational awareness will have a significant impact on operating efficiency and officer safety. |
