| Solid Waste Bulk Trash by Appointment Update |

Bulk Trash collection is a service intended to collect items that will not fit into your residential trash container and is provided to Peoria residents that receive trash and recycle services from the Public Works Solid Waste Division. In February of this year, a transition was made to collect bulky trash by appointment in part due to research findings that indicated less than one-third of residents utilized the program. This service change is now into its approximate eighth month of implementation with staff continuing to collect and assess the data and information. This Study Session item will provide a brief history of the bulk trash program, why the transition was made, the appointment process, and data collected to date. |
