Board and Commission Appointments 
Purpose:

Discussion and possible action to approve the recommendations from the Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee and adopt RES. 2023-111 to appoint/reappoint members to various Boards and Commissions.

Summary:

The Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee makes recommendations for board and commission membership based on term expirations, vacancies from resignations, or changes to member eligibility status.

Previous Actions/Background:

On October 11, 2023, the Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee made the following appointment/reappointment recommendations:

Staff Recommendation:

This is a request for City Council to appoint/reappoint various Board and Commission members as follows:

 

  • Reappoint Dennis Grenier as a regular member to the Construction Board of Appeals with a term to expire June 30, 2025, and
  • Reappoint Adam Hawkins and Adam Pruett as regular members to the Design Review Board with terms to expire December 31, 2025, and
  • Reappoint James Hann as a regular member to the Judicial and Public Defender Advisory Board with a term to expire June 30, 2025, and
  • Appoint Thomas Konkowski and Doug Myers and reappoint Anthony Feiter and Jeff Nelson as regular members to the Planning and Zoning Commission with terms to expire December 31, 2025, and
  • Reappoint Anthony Irby and Tad Snidecor as regular members to the Veterans Memorial Board with terms to expire December 31, 2025, and 
  • Reappoint John Albright and Brenda Rehnke to the Volunteer Firefighter Pension Board with terms to expire December 31, 2025, and 
  • Appoint Kellen Harris as regular member to the Youth Advisory Board with a term to expire June 30, 2026.

Fiscal Analysis:

There is no fiscal impact.
