Discussion and possible action to (a) accept grant funding awarded to the City of Peoria from the Department of Economic Security for child care personnel related costs; and (b) authorize a budget amendment for an amount not to exceed $1.5 million dollars from the Proposed Grant Contingency account to the AM/PM Program. |

The Family and Youth Services division recently applied for, and has been awarded, funding through a non-competitive grant offered by the Department of Economic Security (DES). This funding supports DES certified family child care providers who serve children eligible for DES child care assistance. The funding is for personnel expenses incurred from October 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024. |
