Discussion and possible action to adopt ORD. 2023-18 approving the annexation of a segment of unincorporated 83rd Avenue right of way South of Acoma Drive. |
| | | | | | | | Summary:
During the review of a proposed annexation request of privately owned parcels at the Southeast corner of 83rd Avenue and Acoma Drive, staff discovered that there is a segment of 83rd Avenue right of way that was not part of previous right of way annexations. The subject right of way was acquired by the City in the early 2000’s for improvements associated with an improvement district project; infrastructure within the right of way is already a part of the City’s maintenance responsibility. Upon completion of the annexation process, the City will assume all rights of ownership. |

Council has approved numerous annexations in the vicinity of 83rd Avenue and Acoma Drive over the years. |

Staff recommends that City Council approve the adoption of the attached annexation ordinance allowing the City to annex a small segment of unincorporated 83rd Avenue right of way south of Acoma Drive. |

There is no additional fiscal impact to the City associated with this annexation ordinance to capture the missing segment of 83rd Avenue right of way |
