As part of the Fiscal Year 2024 Capital Improvement Program review and adoption by the Mayor and Council, there was considerable conversation regarding the parity, or lack thereof, between new parks in northern Peoria versus parks in southern Peoria.  Many concerning questions were raised.  In the intervening time, the Parks and Recreation Department has developed a number of criteria to compare the parks as well as developed a tool that can produce a Park Condition score.  This study session will review the evaluation criteria and then provide the results using that criteria.  Both will then be discussed for refinement of the way the parks are evaluated as well as the next steps associated with the outcome of that evaluation.
