Discussion and possible action to approve an Agreement with the City of Phoenix to use the City of Phoenix Regional Police Academy. |
| | | | | | | | Summary:
The Peoria Police Department has been using the Phoenix Police Academy tactical training village since 2021 for the purpose of training law enforcement personnel, including Peoria police officers and police recruits.
City of Peoria wishes to renew the agreement to use the tactical training village and academy classrooms in City of Phoenix Regional Police Academy.
If approved, the term of the IGA shall be for one (1) year, commencing on the date of final signature of the agreement and shall end after one year of the commencement date. |

The City of Phoenix has been providing access to the Peoria Police Department to use Phoenix Regional Police Academy since 2021. |

A: Approve executing an agreement with the City of Phoenix to gain access to the tactical training village and academy classrooms in City of Phoenix Regional Police Academy.
B: Choose not to participate in this agreement. |

The agreement to access Phoenix Regional Police Academy provided by the City of Phoenix will have no fiscal impact on the City of Peoria. |
