| Peoria Mountain, Open Space, and River Ecosystems |
|
| | | | | | | | Summary:
Peoria, Arizona is blessed with incredible natural beauty. Peoria’s history as a city has been to enhance that beauty with top quality parks adorned with popular recreational amenities. A lesser-known role has been the city's aggregation of sensitive lands for different recreational and stewardship purposes. This presentation will discuss the existing mountain parks, open spaces, and river corridors already in the City's inventory and the pending dedication of large new assets that have been on the horizon for a couple of decades and are about to be realized. The proposed creation of a new division is an opportunity to formalize a vision, inventory assets, categorize uses and draft an organizational structure. These will be discussion topics of the presentation. |
