Discussion and Update to Mayor and Council pertaining to FCC's recent decision regarding Broadband Fiber Internet and the resulting impact on Staff's drafting of related legislation as a result of that federal decision. Staff will also request for Council's guidance on (1) the adoption of ordinance amending Chapter 23 of the Code; and (2) adoption of a fee ordinance to allow the assessment a fee for the provision of Fiber Infrastructure Services (Dark Fiber) in the City's rights-of-way. |
