SUBJECT:
Land Right Dedications, 75th Avenue and Jomax Road 

Purpose:

Discussion and possible action to adopt RES. 2024-97 authorizing the City Manager to execute a Dedication of Public Roadway and Public Utility Easements from the City owned parcel at the southeast corner of 75th Avenue and Jomax Road.

Summary:

The City has programmed in the Capital Improvement Program the construction of the south half-street improvements along Jomax Road between 72nd Drive and 75th Avenue.  The design is nearly complete and the project team has identified the land rights necessary to construct the proposed improvements.  An additional Council request has been presented at this meeting for the approval of a Resolution authorizing the acquisition of the land rights from the privately owned parcels.  This request seeks authorization to grant a Dedication of Public Roadway and two Public Utility Easements from the City owned parcel at the southeast corner of the intersection at 75th Avenue to accommodate the roadway improvements including the placement of traffic signal equipment and installation/relocation of any necessary public utilities.

Previous Actions/Background:

  • Request to approve a Resolution authorizing the acquisition of land rights from privately owned parcels within the project footprint.

 

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends that City Council approve the adoption of the attached Resolution authorizing the execution of the land right dedications from the City owned parcel.

Fiscal Analysis:

There is no fiscal impact to the City associated with the granting of these land rights.
