Board and Commission Appointments 
Purpose:

Discussion and possible action to approve the recommendations from the Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee and adopt RES. 2025-50 appointing members to various Boards and Commissions.

Summary:

The Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee makes recommendations for board and commission membership based on term expirations, vacancies from resignations, or changes to member eligibility status.

Previous Actions/Background:

On April 15, 2025, the Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee made the following appointment recommendations:

 

Youth Advisory Board:

Akshathram Vemana 

Ana Shrivastava 

Anika Navghare 

Arv Jain 

Bayli Wheeler 

Emma Kaheh 

Felicia Holly 

Ishnavi Joshi 

Jacob Houg 

Lara Alduaimy 

Natik Mohanty

Naureen Singh

Olivia Solano

Sarah Adamsha 

Ved Stephen 

 

Staff Recommendation:

This is a request for City Council to appoint Board and Commission members as follows:

 

  • Reappoint Akshathram Vemana, Ana Shrivastava, ,Felicia Holly, Jacob Houg, Olivia Solano and Sarah Adamsha as regular members to the Youth Advisory Board with terms to expire June 30, 2027,
  • Reappoint Anika Navghare as a regular member to the Youth Advisory Board with terms to expire June 30, 2026, and
  • Appoint Arv Jain, Josh Ishnavi, Lara AlDuaimy, Natik Mohanty Naureen Singh, Ved Stephen as regular members and Bayli Wheeler, Emma Keheh as alternate members to the Youth Advisory Board with terms to expire June 30, 2027.
