| | | | | | | | SUBJECT:
| Easements, Arizona Public Service, Multiple Locations |
|
| | | | | | | | Purpose:
Discussion and possible action to adopt RES. 2025-71 authorizing the City Manager to execute a permanent roadway and two temporary construction easements to Arizona Public Service within City owned parcels located west of 111th Avenue between Union Hills and Deer Valley Road. |
| | | | | | | | Summary:
Arizona Public Service (APS) is completing the design to rebuild their 69kV transmission line that runs from their Westwing Substation located southwest of Happy Valley Road and the Loop 303 interchange to their Rio Vista Substation located south of Union Hills Drive just west of 113th Avenue. While the majority of this line is located within their existing land rights, there is a small portion of the line that was relocated when the City constructed Tessmer Road. APS is requesting a permanent right of way easement to perfect their land rights for that portion not currently within an easement. In addition, they have also requested two Temporary Construction Easements, one just north of Rose Garden west of Tessmer and the other along the western edge of the Beardsley Treatment Plant. |
| | | | | | | | Previous Actions/Background:
Staff reviewed the request and have determined that the easements that APS is seeking are routine in nature. No previous Council action has taken place for these easements. |
| | | | | | | | Staff Recommendation:
Staff recommends that City Council approve the adoption of the attached Resolution authorizing the execution of the requested easements from the City owned parcels. |
| | | | | | | | Fiscal Analysis:
There is no fiscal impact to the City associated with the granting of these land rights. |
