|
| | | | | | | | Purpose:
Discussion and possible action to approve submission of a grant application to the United States Environmental Protection Agency under the Midsize and Large Drinking Water System Infrastructure Resilience and Sustainability Program. The City is requesting $2,000,000 in funding to support the redrilling of the Patterson Well, located at 107th Avenue and Williams. |
| | | | | | | | Summary:
The Patterson Well, located at 107th Avenue and Williams, was once an important source for our community, but recently failed requiring the need for the well to be re-drilled. Re-drilling the well is critical to strengthening our drinking water system’s resilience against natural hazards and ensuring reliable access to safe drinking water. This project directly supports the program’s purpose by enhancing infrastructure that allows midsize and large water systems to withstand and recover quickly from natural hazards. Completing the redrill will also help ensure our water facilities continue operating in a safe, efficient, and sustainable manner. |
