Discussion and possible action to approve the recommendations from the Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee and adopt RES. 2025-96 appointing/reappointing members to various Boards and Commissions.

The Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee makes recommendations for board and commission membership based on term expirations, vacancies from resignations, or changes to member eligibility status.

On August 12, 2025 and September 9, 2025, the Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee made the following appointment recommendations:

Citizens Commission on Salaries for Elected City Officials

Nick McMullen

Veterans Board

Joe Clure

Joshua Lyons

Youth Advisory Board

This is a request for City Council to appoint Board and Commission members as follows:

Appoint Nicholas McMullen as a regular member to the Citizens Commission on Salaries for Elected City Officials with a regular term to expire June 30, 2027,

Appoint Joe Clure and Joshua Lyons as regular members to the Veterans Board with terms to expire June 30, 2027, 

Appoint Brij Kapadia as a regular member to the Youth Advisory Board with a term to expire June 30, 2027, and

Reappoint James Hann as a regular member to the Judicial and Public Defender Advisory Board with a term to expire June 30, 2027 rather than June 30, 2031.

There is no fiscal impact.
