SUBJECT:
Power Distribution Easement, Salt River Project, Municipal Operations Center Fleet Shop Replacement 

Purpose:

Discussion and possible action to adopt RES. 2026-03 authorizing the City Manager to execute a Power Distribution Easement to Salt River Project for the installation and maintenance of underground utility infrastructure and ancillary uses within a portion of the City’s Municipal Operations Center for the Fleet Shop Replacement.
Summary:

The Fleet Shop Replacement capital improvement project (PW00308) is under construction with a planned relocation of staff and the fleet maintenance functions in Spring 2026.  This electrical utility easement is an extension to an existing SRP electrical easement within the Peoria Municipal Operations Center and is necessary to serve the new building.

Previous Actions/Background:

There has been no previous action by the City for this easement request.
Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends that City Council approve the adoption of the attached Resolution authorizing the execution of the easement to SRP.
Fiscal Analysis:

There is no fiscal impact to the City associated with the granting of this land right.
