Discussion and possible action to adopt RES. 2026-04 authorizing the City Manager to execute an Irrigation Easement to Salt River Project for the relocation and maintenance of irrigation facilities within the north half of Northern Avenue west of 99th Avenue.

During the utility coordination phase of the design of the Northern Parkway Improvements between Loop 101 and 103^rd Avenue, it was determined that SRP irrigation has prior rights within the roadway footprint.  SRP has requested that an easement be granted for the ultimate location of their irrigation facilities restoring their prior rights.  The Northern Parkway Improvements are being constructed as part of a joint agreement with Maricopa County and the City of Glendale; they are also granting easement rights within their jurisdiction to cover the SRP irrigation facilities located within the vicinity of the 99^th Avenue and Northern Avenue intersection.

No previous Council action has taken place for this easement request.

Staff recommends City Council approve the adoption of the attached Resolution authorizing the granting of the Irrigation Easement to Salt River Project.

There is no fiscal impact to the City associated with granting this easement.
