| | | | | | | | Summary:
The Peoria Police Department desires to accept grant funding from the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) in the amount of $90,595. These funds will assist in further integrating Peoria as part of the Statewide Disaster Response Program. This will be done by sustaining and enhancing the Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO) program.
The Department has been awarded $82,000 to support TLO operations. The TLO program functions as a field intelligence unit supporting police tactical, hazardous material, explosive special operations and uncommon event types. Funds granted will be used to purchase a new TLO vehicle.
The Department has been awarded $8,595 to fund a laptop computer with dock and software used specifically in the TLO vehicle and office. This equipment is used for regional operational coordination of information and intelligence sharing, interdiction and disruption research on targeting violence threat actors, completing Threat Vulnerability Assessments of soft targets, critical Infrastructures, and key resources, as well as hazards.
These grants are reimbursable with funding through July 2026. |
